The American Lung Association (ALA) Climb for Clean Air Teams were on the Mt. Rainier summit early this morning….100% success! RMI Guide Win Whittaker called from 13,500’ on the descent back to Camp Muir.

The Expedition Skills Seminar - Emmons led by RM Guide Andy Bond reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The team got an early start from Camp Schurman and reached the summit around 5:30 am. They will return to Camp Schurman for their final night on the mountain. Enjoy these photos from RMI Guide David Price taken from the summit crater of Mt. Rainier this morning.

It's a beautiful day to be in the mountains and the Five Day Climb teams took full advantage. RMI Guides Casey Grom & Alex Halliday led their teams to the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning, reaching the crater rim just after 5 am. Blue skies, lights winds and good route conditions were the theme today. The group will return to Camp Muir and then continue their descent to Paradise later today.

The Expedition Skills Seminar - Kautz team reached the summit of Mt. Rainier at around 8am this morning. RMI Guide Avery Parrinello repoted a beautiful day of climb, and the route through the Kautz Ice Chute was in great shape. The Team has started their descent and will spend another day training and practicing alpine expedition skills to prepare for future climbs like Denali or Aconcagua.

The Five Day Climb teams led by RMI Guides Pete Van Deventer and Dan Windham reached the summit of Mt. Rainier last night. Pete reported great route conditions and a beautiful day on the mountain. The teams are now back to Camp Muir and will be descending to Paradise later this morning.

RMI Teams led by Casey Grom and Jenny Konway reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Scattered clouds and cold temperatures was the report from the upper mountain. The teams are navigating their way down Disappointment Cleaver and will return to Camp Muir. After a quick break, they will repack their gear and continue their descent to Paradise.

The Mt. Rainier Summit Climb teams, led by Taylor Bickford and Joe Hoch, reached the summit! They reported nice route conditions but windy and cold temps this morning. The teams are currently on their descent back to Camp Muir and we look forward to congratulating them this afternoon.
My son climbed today with this group. So proud that he fullfilled one of his dreams. Great job see you this afternoon!! Dad and I love you. Thanks to the great leadership for the team.

After several days of high winds and unstable snow conditions, the RMI Teams were greeted with light winds, clear skies and good route conditions. RMI Guides Pete Van Deventer, Dan Windham and their Four Day Climb teams reached the summit of Mt. Rainier shortly after 7 am today. The teams enjoyed some time in the crater getting all the photo ops before descending from the crater rim.

The Expedition Skills Seminar – Emmons left Camp Schurman early this morning heading out for their summit attempt on Mt. Rainer. Due to unstable snow, the team turned at 11,300’ feet. They are heading back to camp where they will spend the remainder of their time on the mountain practicing the alpine mountaineering skills they have been learning all week. The team will descend from Camp Schurman tomorrow afternoon.

The Four Day Climb led by RMI Guides Christina Dale and Dominic Cifelli turned at the top of Disappointment Cleaver early this morning. The team had clear skies above, but due to recent winter-like storms, route conditions on the upper mountian are unstable. The team is in route to Camp Muir and will be descending back to Paradise in the early afternoon.
