Use of Customer Information
We will always protect any personal information you provide us to our maximum capabilities. "Personal Information" is defined as any information that can be used to identify or contact you. This includes, but is not limited to, a first and last name, email address, mailing address, and other contact information.
Should you provide your email address to Rainier Mountaineering, Inc., it may be shared with our partner Whittaker Mountaineering, Inc., a climbing gear vendor, but will never be shared with or given away to any other third parties for marketing purposes without your expressed permission or unless ordered by a court of law. Information submitted to us is only available to employees managing this information for purposes of contacting you or sending you emails based on your request and to contracted service providers for purposes of providing services relating to our communications with you. This information may also be used in aggregate to create general market reports for RMI.
Our email marketing is permission-based. If you received a mailing from us, our records indicate that (a) you have expressly shared this address for the purpose of receiving information in the future ("opt-in"), including through Facebook contests, other marketing activities, and events, (b) you have completed online registration, registered for a Rainier Mountaineering, Inc. program or otherwise have an existing relationship with us, or (c) we have received your email address from a partner company, such as Whittaker Mountaineering, Inc. We respect your time and attention by controlling the frequency of our mailings. Each email sent contains an easy, automated way for you to cease receiving emails from us. If you wish to do this, simply follow the unsubscribe link at the end of any email. If you believe you have received an unwanted, unsolicited email, please forward a copy of that email with your comments to [email protected] for review.
Any testimonials, photos, or other content expressing customers' opinions or likeness sent via email to Rainier Mountaineering becomes the property of Rainier Mountaineering, Inc. and may be used for marketing, including our website, email, and social media.
Rainier Mountaineering does not intend to collect personal information from children under 16 years old unless registering for a program. If you are under 16 years old, you should not register for our newsletter or any other services or otherwise provide information on this website. Instead, you should ask your parent or guardian to do so for you.

Use of Browser Cookies
Like most websites, RMI makes use of browser "cookies."
