We woke early this morning and fired up the stoves, intent on moving to high camp today. But as the morning progressed, lenticular clouds formed over the Alaska Range, clouds increased, and we could see winds coming off of the West Buttress above us . With a good weather forecast into next week, we decided that we'd sit this one out and try again tomorrow. We're sitting in great shape and lined up for the upcoming goo weather window. And spending another night at 14,000' Camp will make our team stronger for our bid up high.
Hopefully our next dispatch will come from High Camp tomorrow.

That’s quite a village forming at 14K’. Best wishes for a clear weather window so you can make a break for High Camp and leave the crowds behind.
Just an FIO in case anyone has an interest in sea level sporting events. NBA Finals started Thursday: Game 1 Warriors 124-114 Cavaliers. Game 2 is on Sunday, stay tuned –or not :)
Take care all.

BTW, would it be too much to ask if we somehow got a “best case scenario” ETA back down the mountain on one of the upcoming updates? Best case scenario as in the weather is perfect and everybody summits?
I have to text Dave Head’s Boss if it doesn’t look like he’ll be back to work by Friday, June 8th. We live in Las Vegas.
Please? And thanks!
Yay!

Wow! Looks like quite a good sized community hanging out at 14,000! Great picture! We all continue to be thrilled everyone is doing well and that the weather report looks promising! Have a good evening and fingers crossed for little to no clouds or wind tomorrow!
Tom M, are these pics taken from your camera?!
