Mt. McKinley: Walter & Team Postpone Summit Attempt
Posted by: Mike Walter, Pete Van Deventer
Categories: Expedition Dispatches Denali
Elevation: 17,200'
Pete Van Deventer called and the team is at 17,200' and are positioned for their summit attempt. The weather changed and the winds were high so they postponed their attempt one day. The team will be going for it tomorrow and hope to give us a call from the summit.

Now we have to think of you for a whole another day already because of the stinking weather! NOT!!
You know of course that your Mom and I would be thinking of you even if you were not on a mountain such as Denali!
Hope it happens today for you all.. Be safe and I love you Mom.xoxoxo

As you summit and achieve victory both individually and as a team, I think it a great tribute that such a feat of sacrifice, perseverance and survival happens on a day honoring men and woman who gave their all for us. We’ll say a prayer for you while you say a prayer for them at the top. Stay in the fight and stay safe!
