Zach Lovell, Mountain Guide, RMI Expeditions

Zach Lovell grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, where he first found his passion for the outdoors on the humid crags in Southern Illinois. Wanting to take his rock climbing passion to bigger terrain, Zach found his eternal love of the mountains in Colorado with his father on family vacations. In 2011 the dream to pursue a guiding career was born when he spent a season abroad in Switzerland, climbing several of the Alps’ most classic routes. After his return to the States, he transferred to Western State Colorado University as an Outdoor Education and Recreation major where he has remained since, further progressing his skills as a climber and as an aspirant guide. When Zach isn't climbing he enjoys writing and performing music.
