Mike Hinckley, Mountain Guide, RMI Expeditions

Mike grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, where he developed his love for the outdoors through backpacking, kayaking, skiing, and climbing. As a Nordic ski competitor, Mike spent his summers training in the mountains near his home. Mike attended the University of Denver graduating in 2009 with a degree in Biology. While in college, Mike continued to ski and compete and was a member of the NCAA Division One National Championship team during which time he earned the distinction of All American. After college, Mike competed as a professional skier in national competitions as well as on the World Cup. After retiring from ski racing, Mike started veterinary school at Washington State University. Just finishing his first year in veterinary school, Mike is excited to start his second season with RMI and eager to continue sharing his passion of the outdoors with others on Mount Rainier.
