Our Five Day Emmons Climb is an intermediate route ideal for climbers in great physical condition with an understanding of basic mountaineering techniques. The Emmons is the biggest of Rainier’s twenty-six glaciers and this route covers 10,000 vertical feet from the trailhead to the summit. If you have climbed Mt. Rainier before and are looking for another mountaineering adventure on this northwest volcano this is the perfect climb. This program consists of a Pre-Trip Orientation and four days of expedition style climbing, camping and load carrying.

Participant Requirements:

Previous climbing experience is required for this program. In order to participate, each team member needs to submit a short climbing resume showing, at a minimum the following skills:.

• Familiar with crampon use, team rope travel skills, and ice axe arrest techniques.
• A minimum of one previous glacier climb.
