Rob Montague , Mountain Guide, RMI Expeditions

Robert started climbing at age 15, under the tutelage of a professional climbing guide in England. This experience inspired him to pursue a career as a guide, and in 2004 he started leading trips with Rainier Mountaineering, Inc. Robert is currently an AMGA certified Rock Guide and will take his Alpine Exam this September. During the off-season, Robert works as a nurse in the Flathead Valley of Montana. He is also an avid skier and volunteers with the Backcountry Nordic Patrol. Robert spent several summers managing the American Alpine Club’s Grand Teton Climber’s Ranch, where he was able to spend time with his wife and young daughter and pursue some of his own objectives in the mountains. Robert’s passion is climbing and he highly values the opportunity to help others discover the rewards of spending time in the mountains.
