Evan Redman
Originally from the town of Ashford, WA, Evan was raised right at the foot of Tahoma, or Mount Rainier. Growing up, he went on many backpacking trips through the Cascades with his family, and countless hikes within Mount Rainier National Park. While in high school, Evan discovered a love for mountaineering and at age 17, began training for his dream of becoming a climbing guide. With friends, he began climbing the volcanoes and mountains of Washington, learning new skills and teaching others along the way. After graduating, he began college at Western Washington University, where he is currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, with a minor in Spanish. With a passion for continual learning and education, Evan hopes that through his guiding and photography, he can grow others’ love for nature, and commitment to its preservation. When he isn’t guiding on the mountain, Evan can be found on backpacking and climbing trips with friends, growing his landscape photography business, leading the Outdoor & Hiking Club at Western, cooking, and much more!
