Dave Keatley

Dave started climbing as a teenager on the warm sandstone cliffs above the Tennessee River near Chattanooga. A move to Montreal got him interested in cold weather adventures, and there he caught a passion for skiing, the waterfall ice of Quebec, New Hampshire, and upstate New York, and a dream of bigger mountains. Since graduating from McGill University with a degree in physical geography and economics, Dave has spent most of the past few years guiding in the mountains and on the waters of North America and Europe, making wine in California, and traveling in Africa and Asia. He has climbed technical alpine routes in the Tetons, Canadian Rockies, Sierra Nevada, and Cascades. This will be his first season with RMI.
